"Rent a car and drive the Tuscan countryside and stay at this hotel in Montepulciano. Roberto and his wife (princess) Elda were amazing and entertaining hosts. The hotel is right in the shopping and dining district, and there are multiple streets and sights to explore. Every few blocks there is another perch from which to look out over the incredible countryside. The room was large and beautiful, and you can hear the shoppers and diners down below the window. "Being at the top of the hill meant walking most places was down hill. Still some places to walk up mainly to the larger piazzia. Great dining around the hotel both for breakfast and dinner. Beautiful older state house with large open area overlooking Perugia. Would stay here again"

"Amazing traditional Tuscan scan meal! The hotel itself was alright. Good location to get to Assisi, quiet, lots off parking and nice surroundings but the room was very basic. An ok bed but the bathroom needed some attention. The toilet never fully flushed and there was no holder for the shower head so you had to hold it the whole time. The staff are wonderful and friendly."

"We stayed at this location for one night located a few miles outside of town. The bedroom was very simple but clean, came with a firm bed and two flat pillows (this is probably one thing they can invest in) and no mini fridge. There was a balcony with two chairs and a great view. Montepulciano is a beautiful town and is worth to visit. We had the breakfast included where you can chose from a menu the night before. The breakfast was great with tables that had enough space between the customers....

"Unfortunately Expedia fouled up our booking so when we arrived there was no room for us. It appears this is not the first time it had happened and the hotel manager were very embarrassed. However, the hotel manager was marvellous, he found and booked us into another hotel, about five miles away, which turned out to be excellent. We returned to Oasis the next day for lunch and had a superb meal."

We therefore had NO accommodation for a Saturday night in a tourist town! The Hotel told us they have NO dealings with Expedia. We WILL NOT use Expedia again and will tell our friends of our experience."
