The only thing I would say is that even though they do warn you that it’s a party hotel and the music will be loud, it’s way way louder than I expected and the earplugs don’t do much to cover it. Instead I was in a good hotel but in a different town called Ica. It was reasonable but had to waste money on transportation and taxi . Everyone told me to not walk at night . "Matryoahka was a convenient and easy place to stay in Ica. The rooms were a decent size, and the bathrooms were new and clean. The staff were incredibly accommodating and allowed us to check in early after arriving on an overnight bus. It's not super close to the centre, but it is on the way to Huacachina, so for us that was more of a benefit."

"There was a party downstairs where people were screaming like crazy until quite late… after that finished and we thought we could finally sleep, there was a group of teenagers who went into the swimming pool at midnight, who were also super loud. I couldn’t sleep until around 1am. If I had known there were no rules about noise, I would have stayed elsewhere. Breakfast was ok, location is really comfortable. "

Hotels in the main street closer to the ocean were three times more and we only needed a clean place to shower and to sleep and we got that.
