"Shehan, his wife and young son make Saubagya Inn an excellent choice for a stay at Anuradhapura. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the bathroom good and the a/c worked well in the hot weather when I stayed. The Guesthouse was about around 40 years ago and with a large, covered veranda makes for very relaxing ‘down time’. Shehan speaks good English and is trained and trains in hospitality. "Perfect location when visiting Sigiriya Rock Fortress. The staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. I stayed a few days, so after Sigiriya rock they recommend other locations I could visit and which buses to get. The food for dinner was amazing and such huge portions!!! 😅 The room was great, good ac, and a mosquito net over the comfy bed. "

"The family that runs this homestay is so incredibly sweet. They don't speak much English, but that's okay. We got by! Danu called me on the phone upon check-in to make sure everything was to my liking. The street it's on is a very local one so there isn't much around, but I had a driver so it was perfectly fine. If you were to walk, I think it would have probably taken 15 or so minutes to the rock along a scenic road :) Danu's mother cooked me the best chicken curry I've ever had! So tasty!!...
