"Great host, very beautiful surroundings and very close to the Main Street in Ella"

"We stayed at this delightful mountain cabin in Ella. It hangs off the mountain, faces directly west for the perfect sunset between two peaks. The view is breathtaking. The pictures do not do the tiniest bit of justice. It's a brand new cottage with 2 seperate units. One with a bedroom + loft sleeps 4 people. The other is a two bedroom. The only downside to this place is getting there.. some steel hills, big vehicles cannot go. Tuk Tuks... that struggle to get up the hill or walk. It's worth it...

From organising a cooking class to massages to organising a wonderful comfortable car and driver to get us from Ella to Kandy with a visit to nine bridges on our way. "

"You'll have to step onto a narrow path that sometimes goes up, sometimes goes down, takes a turn or two to the left, to the right, to finally emerge in front of "Silver Dome Guest House". Mind the map to arrive there for taking a wrong turn is easily done, especially during night time. The building is deeply hidden into Ella which happened to be, as another foreigner had once put it to me, only "a street of bars, restaurants and services for Westerners mostly". "Nice place, attentive staff. Good lobby with comfortable sofas. Close to the center and shops. They have shared kitchen so you can cook if you have special diet. And kitchen is clean which is not common there"
