"Property was close to what we needed. I was a bit disappointed that I’d called to enquire about parking and was told I didn’t need to book, but when I arrived it was full and I had to go and park at the arena about 500 metres away. Distance was fine, but $48 was a bit more than I was expecting to have to pay"

"I love the Novotel and stay there often. Great location with easy access to Lambton Quay’s great shopping. Staff always super friendly. Rooms are nice with very comfortable beds. For the price, it’s great value :)"

"We had just one night here. Strange set up. Enter from the street and catch the lift to reception on the 6th floor. Small parking area for reception at the back (which was not communicated on booking). Then had to move the car to other parking for overnight. Check in guy Billy was helpful but when we left neither of the female staff even spoke to us. Just smiles when we handed the key back. No “thanks for staying with us” etc. Good location to walk to local restaurants and the cable car. ...

"The room had everything we needed and was clean. The hotel restaurant was very good and the staff were pleasant. The only complaint was the noise. Outside the window it sounded like loud construction all night long. Very disturbing. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and thought it was an excellent location, and close to the car ferry dock to leave for the South Island in the AM."
