"We arrived on a Sunday evening and most shops had closed. The hotel is a bit out of town. The room was adequate, but the steps up to the mezzanine bedroom were very steep. The beds were comfortable. There were lots of mosquitos in the room, which we weren't prepared for. The breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly."

"A comfortable hotel, but Hotels.com needs to make it clearer that this is one of those European hotels without staff, where one needs codes to enter the building and room. Unfortunately, the hotel never sent me the codes, and I stood outside the door for a good ten minutes before a kind passerby helped me by calling the hotel for me to ge the codes (my US phone doesn't work in Europe). Aside from that pretty major mistake, the room was fine."

"Our arrival at the hostel was delayed but we called and were happy that they waited for us to check in. That done, we went to the room and one of the rooms had a horrible smell of sewage. We went back to the reception to complain and the guy said it was because the room was closed for a long and make the water run the smell disappear, which did not happen. "Difficult to understand how people have left 5 star reviews for this property. The view out the window is nice but sadly the moment you turn around you see a shabby room which doesn’t seem particularly clean. The owner was friendly but in truth I couldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone."
