"This is the fourth time we have stayed here, it is an excellent location, however we have noticed that its starting to look down in the dumps, not so much as the amenities, cause its one of the cheapest hotel for a reason, however, the cleanliness was a bit of an issue this time. The blinds were full of mosquito corpses, the bathroom had leaks everywhere, there were dead bugs on the ceiling, the dust on the items was kinda gross. Having said all this, still can't beat the price and location, but...

"The location of Hotel des lacs is perfect for someone who wants to be in Chamonix for UTMB because downtown is only a short walk giving easy access to race activities and restaurants. The Hotel is located across the street from a beautiful park with a little lake. Our room was clean quiet and simple. Breakfast was available for a small additional charge. The staff was friendly and helpful. We felt at home."
