"Located in a not quite salubrious part of town, first impressions are mixed. However the owner is very welcoming (without any English being spoken) and the hotel has a rustic, individual charm. The room was quiet and clean, with a level of amenity to be expected. The highlight of the stay was the meal in the hotel restaurant - freshly cooked, local influence and great value. We have been “welcomed” by the owner by him closing the door in front of us and yelling at us that check-in time is 5pm, that he does not care about us having 6 hours of driving and being tired. We were puzzled at this behavior and at this man almost scolding us. Unfortunately this hotel is not a hotel: opening hours are at 5pm, earlier than that no chance. "Don't let the tired facade put you off, the room was clean and in good condition. Air conditioning was cold and the shower was hot and good pressure. The bed was comfy and the location is perfect, right next to the train station. Don't judge a book by it's cover!"

"It was spotlessly clean and had everything thing you would need. One side of the bed was very flat. The breakfast was delivered to room but was very disappointing as we were looking forward to it after reading other reviews. "

"The hotel is well located in a beautiful and scenic part of the country. I used this as a stopover, close to European space centre and on the way to Disneyland Paris, but it's so much more than a stopover and I'm eager to return and use it as a base for canoeing the beautiful Semois valley. It is clean, comfortable, well decorated, has a great atmosphere and also benefits from being well served by really friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely breakfast and nice beer too!"
