"Amazing period featured property, staff excellent, checking, breakfast and bar staff all great. Breakfast choice great and cooked to perfection. Property has parking and literally 2 minutes walk to Clark’s village. Only downside for us was bed/pillows not overly comfortable, I guess could be personal choice. Would recommend staying at the property."

"Quiet and comfortable, with an exceptional value for money. Nice look and reasonable space. Hot drinks and snacks provided, plus fridge. Very close to town centre and easy to access / park. Only minor negative was a noisy hot water pipe, which only happened infrequently, otherwise an excellent time had by all."

"Had a lovely stay, room was really lovely, everything was catered for although could have done with some instructions for the TV !! Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay again."

"We had the twin room with the bathroom across the corridor. Due to this dressing gowns were provided which were large and cosy. Very large room with space for 2 chairs and coffee table. Breakfast for £5 was amazing! Good ale. "

We had a such a lovely time - amazing property, very warm and roomy and beds in quirky places, plenty of towels and great communication from the host, especially about us hiring a spa specialist to come to the property for chilled hen do spa treatments. Handy having 4 designated car parking spaces. Thank you so much! "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Charnwood Guest House. The spotless room had a comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities and hot shower. Breakfast was served fresh to order each morning. Location was a short walk along the river from the beach and restaurants. Finally a shout out to Ruth and Phil who were the most charming hosts you could hope to meet."

"The property is beautiful--very historic and full of character. It had just the right amount of modern touches to be comfortable without sacrificing historic charm. I loved eating in the old dining room--very good breakfasts--and being able to walk in the lovely garden. There are also 2 very good restaurants nearby for dinner."
