"Brighton Hotel location was not where I expected but it turned out we were able to travel to distant locations with no problems. The staff (with exception of one dinner male) is excellent! Warm, charming and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. "

"It was at a convenient location, just few minutes walk to Nishiki market and some major shopping areas. Lots of food options too. Room itself was clean and of decent size, quiet, and very efficient check in/ out. Also an onsite onsen is a plus. Would recommend it. "

"This hotel is in an area that doesn't feel surrounded by tourist, but it has a wonderful variety of restaurants, shops and daily life places. It feels closer to living in Kyoto, not a holiday spot. The rooms are extremely small but the space is used cleverly so nothing is missing. It offers some luxury, its own onsen and all the comforts you would expect from a five star hotel."

"Excellent hotel, conveniently situated from lots of Kyoto landmarks such as Nijō castle that is about a 20 minute walk. If you want to book a short stay in Kyoto I can't recommend this hotel enough."
