"We were in need of urgent accommodation as the Shinkansen was suspended due to rain so we quickly booked one night at the Smile Hotel Hiroshima. I am so glad we did! "Located close to the main station is a big plus and the station complex offers almost everything a traveller needs. Room was generally clean except the smell of cigarette smoke lingered. It was not a non-smoking room so it's understandable but it still a bit unpleasant. Staff was friendly and helpful and when I arrived on a heavy rainy night they let me borrow an adaptor for recharging my cell phone. Would like to thank them again here."

"What a gem! The owner and her staff are kind, happy, knowledgeable and helpful. The sleeping area was quiet, everyone was respectful and the common area was a great place to hang in the evening when you are worn out from exploring. I wish i could give more stars. Ladies area had all the mod cons, dryers, straighteners, face cleaning wipes, a makeup table... great sleeping pods with fans and adjustable lighting and plenty of outlets. But it was really the staff and owner that made this a home...
