"We go to Cooperstown every December, and while this hotel is not walking distance to the main town, it is a very fast drive on just one road and there’s plenty of parking at that time of year. "The staff are outstanding!! Very friendly and efficient! The lobby was especially warm and inviting with the fire and holiday decorations. The free coffee, etc was a very nice touch! Breakfast room was spotless and the offerings were ample! Fresh fruit, many cereal and bread options, boiled eggs, yogurt. We arrived during a snowstorm, and our room was cold, so we needed the heat on full blast for the entire stay. "

"Hotel staff was great. They gave us sleds to use on the hills next to the hotel. Hotel could use some updates but it was clean. The breakfast was great but the staff that took care of replenishing the breakfast and keeping things clean went above and beyond. He was up wiping tables constantly and making sure everything was clean and organized at the buffet, he even offered to make my son a special breakfast the following day but we were leaving. Very impressed! "

"Soooo the motel is in the middle of reconstruction. The rooms are great, modern, big, comfortable beds, lovely floors in bathroom, good amenities. Microwave, fridge coffeemaker, big tv. The other parts of motel are being remodeled. I did not like being asked how long i was going to wait for my brother in the lounge because “ it wasn’t for sitting around) or something to the effect, when i had been there 35 minutes. Extremely rude and very inhospitable "

"I'm glad that the listing no longer includes breakfast in the amenities list, because there is none. Owner did make some good restaurant recommendations when asked. A surprising lacking amenity was shampoo/conditioner, so take your own -- this is a budget hotel, quaint (decked out for the season) and sufficient.
