"Hotel Esperides is a lovely quiet hotel on the main road just across from the road into Myrtos, a quiet tourist town on the southern coast of Crete. Wonderful breakfast for 9 euros per person, with large assortment of foods. Small elevator available. Very accommodating when we arrived early from the ferry to Heraklion, Crete; we were able to purchase breakfast even before check in, and they got 2 rooms ready for us an hour or so before their usual check in time. "Positive : Overall a good place to stay, clean and quiet. Furniture and decor a bit tired. Only one pillow per person. Bed mattress also far too hard. Good AC, balcony also quite spacious. Negative: Only 2 glasses, 2 mugs and 2 tea spoon. Zero possibility when I requested a plate to enjoy a fruit, no ice, no shower facilities for evening check out, no AC at the reception area. Not a nice experience at all we have to wait outside of the hotel to dry our shirts "

Only issue we had was the number of stray cats around the hotel, who can be too friendly and don't give you any piece when lounging around the pools. It's not pleasant to be sunbathing when a cat jumps on you and sticks their claws into you!!"
