"Definitely worth the stay at the lodge because it takes about an hour to get into the park due to speed limit ranging 10 mph to 25 mph due to VERY curvy roads up and down a mountain. With staying at the lodge you’re within short driving distances to your destinations of where you want to visit in the park. Like the General Sherman Tree parking lot is only a 6 minute drive from the Lodge. So very convenient for us and the kids. The rooms are fine and worked for us but are outdated. But we’re not...

The cabin is extremely clean, well appointed and comfortable - and the bit of quirkiness adds to a great experience (although the shower is indeed narrow! There is no hallway to the 2nd bedroom so its either an outside exit or a walk through of the other bedroom). The internet was fast and reliable.
