"This will have to be my most favorite part of my trip to Japan. You will have to intentionally come here for the temple stay. "We got to stay here for the night of news years eve and enjoyed a vegetarian dinner. My husband cannot eat any wheat or gluten so the monks made sure he had a special vegetable dish with no soy sauce. The rooms were at first cold but with the heaters warmed up nicely. "The price was the best in the city, but this is no hotel as you can find somewhere else. Check-in and check-out was ok. There is no private shower, and with the rain, the ceiling was leaking. Okay-ish hotel. Messages you receive from the owner must be translated in English with Google Translate, but the check-in process pdf is in English."
