"Georgian grand hotel. Hotel has done well to preserve the grand features. This is one for those who like character to a building. Staff were excellent. Service was fast and efficient. Lots of nooks and crannies to sit in with loads of old style leather oxblood sofas and chairs throughout- so comfortable after dinner drinking. Food was lovely. Only requests would be for fresh juices at breakfast rather than concentrate/ squash and a scrambled egg option. Very nice stay - will return....

"Some parts are still under construction. Can be a bit loud in the night but it was valentines weekend. Staff were helpful and friendly but I wasn’t told they’d take a £50 deposit, and I wasn’t told what this was for either- it leaves my bank account instantly but takes a week to come back into my account. "This is a lovely hotel, maybe a bit dated decor wise, but clean, quiet and comfortable. Rooms are spacious with usual tea etc, large TV, plenty of storage two chairs, tables and a fridge. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves a good variety of meals, which can also be purchased in the bar throughout the day. We have stayed 3 times now and have no complaints at all. Whether you stay for 1 night or more, the location is excellent for public transport, tram and bus and...
