We had a room with a window overseeing building’s pipes and cables, no daylight - so that’s the only negative, but can work for one night stays, especially that the hotel is in a great location. "I don’t speak Italian but that didn’t explain why the host was sat in the dark and obviously hadn’t check bookings because she was clearly shocked when I had booked a room. To save money all lights were out and it made navigating the stairs with a heavy bag quite precarious. No breakfast or coffee."

"Third time visiting this hotel bang in the centre of Genoa, but the first time as a family. The family room was really large and very comfortable. Sergio is very friendly and helpful and the central location cannot be beat. Even the old lift to the fourth floor is a bit of an adventure. There are plenty of places for breakfast just a few metres away, so no problems there. Will definitely be back!"

"Hotel is in walking distance from the beach and the city centre, good location as very close to the station. Our room and the shared bathroom was clean, daily towel change and basic cleaning provided. The check in is only possible between 1pm and 3pm, our receptionist didn't speak much English but he was nice. Check out is at 11am, we had to leave our key in the door as the reception is closed that time. Breakfast was in Hotel San Pietro (no information was given about it, we just figured it...
