" This hotel is simple & clean & had the most necessary amenities. It is not luxurious but comfortable & the qualities below explain why we would happily stay there again. It is a perfectly located hotel within a couple hundred meters from dozens of great cafes & restaurants, numerous shops & some of the most iconic & historically significant sites. "Very detailed checkin instructions over email. On day of arrival, the hotel also left a letter at the front door as how to get access into the hotel. They also provide a free map with highlighted routes from hotel to the main square in Siena via walking (about 15 minutes). Highly recommended for family stay in Siena."

"Hotel Calzaiolo is WONDERFUL! I had a very restful time there. Antonietta is a kind, charming owner, and was so sweet and helpful to me. She even had a taxi deliver a work bag for me after I forgot it in my hotel room! "We had a wonderful stay. The host, Luca, was great to communicate with prior to check in and met us at the property despite our arrival being a bit delayed. He provided a brief history of the area and the farm and gave instructions regarding the property. He also provided recommendations on restaurants and suggestions of where to park in Florence. The property was beautiful! We loved our view from the kitchen window. The apartment was well stocked and the pool was lovely.
