"Extremely rude and unprofessional receptionist. The photos of the hotel do not describe the property correctly. While you can see the hotel building on the photos, our room was in some low rise (1 floor) building which you enter from the outside. The bathroom was renovated except for the floor tiles which have seen better days (the same tiles were in the room as well). The room had such a strong chemical smell that was there to probably mask some other smell, which unfortunately was still coming...

"Convenient location. Accommodation a little dated, and without air conditioning was difficult in heat of summer. Parking available in public car park opposite hotel, but spaces may be difficult if arriving earlier in the day."

"Please note the town shuts down at 8 PM. They close the hotel and do NOT wait for you to check in. Fortunately a much nicer hotel was down by the actual beach and accommodated us. It worked out bc it was a far superior hotel and not much more money compared to the new Windsor. Stay somewhere else but def visit Etretat. "

"We looked forward to staying at the Oscar. Upon arrival no one at reception and no instructions about what to do. I located the telephone number on Hotels.com and spoke with someone who gave me the entry code and then sent a text with information. The room was in need of paint and a deep cleaning. "Nice setting on the Seine estuary with the chance to sit in the garden and watch barges taking goods to and form the port. The hotel is almost directly under the major structure of the towering Tancarville road bridge however, which for some may make it a bit noisy, although our sleep was not unduly disturbed. Good value for money set menus in the restaurant. Hotel could use some sprucing up on the outside as it is starting to look a bit shabby."
