"We booked the hotel the day of the trip as we had change plans due to Typhoon Haishen. When we entrance to the hotel was blocked with a rope and they did not answer the phone. There was noone to get any information, we did not get a cancellation or a notification. We were left in the typhoon with nowhere to go and struggled to find anything for hours during when the weather got really bad. "Caution to staying here. Pros: almost secluded with nature; very nice storage container changed into a good mobile home stay; self operated. Cons: NO shuttle/taxi/bus services to this lodging. (I even asked the manager/ possibly owner female Japanese woman, if she could give me a ride to the closest bus stop for the airport limousine bus pickup. This stop is at the VERY beginning of the ENTIRE area of onsens in Kurokawa onsens. The so-called bus stop that’s 2 minutes away from the lodging is...

"Quiet. Staff was friendly and let me check out late. Fairly clean. Questionable stains on the walls and on the floor but at least the bed was clean. Bath was good. Not too many places to eat in the area. Hakurakuten nearby had good food and the staff was nice. "
