"Very friendly and helpful service. Great communications. Free on site parking included with stay. Clean and comfortable bed, although bedding (pillow, duvet) old and a bit smelly. Nice ensuite room. Grubby carpets and door mirror. "

"Ideal stay when attending a function at Grittleton house as only a few mins walk. Room was clean however was very cold (we did stay in December). Breakfast was good but no veggie option for my wife and I did not like the cats walking around the dining room and at times sat on my lap and walked across the table."

"My wife and I visited for a show in town, and the hotel was in a great location for accessing the town centre. The decoration was unique and really pleasant, the bathroom was lovely, and the bed was very comfy. We also really enjoyed having keypads to access both the building and room so we didn’t have to worry about keys/cards."

"Room was extremely small - no room for suitcases or bags. Midgies were an issue and had to close window - being so small the room was super stuffy. A fan was available which helped a little. If stairs are an issue for you - find somewhere else. Okay for a quick one night stop but wouldn’t recommend for any longer. Dinner (lamb) was amazing - highly recommend the food. "

"Very friendly personal welcome - very personal touches - definitely worth staying - very rural. Definitely value for money and with a shared bathroom (there was 2 between 4 rooms getting access to a bathroom was never an issue). Would definitely stay again."

"Staying on the houseboat was certainly the unique experience that we'd hoped it to be. We arrived later than planned but a quick call to the host helped us navigate to the parking area and gave us directions to meet him at the boat. The boat itself was freshly made up for our group, it was toasty warm with central heating and a log burner. 2 single sofa beds in the lounge were a great solution. "We had a very comfortable and relaxed time. The breakfast was good and lots of options. Plenty of good eating places near by. It might have been helpful to know to look out for Cleeves House as from our approach we couldn t see the Swallows sign. All very friendly."
