"Bayside is wonderful in the fall/winter season - very quiet, lovely views, nice walks on a variety of roads, interesting houses to look at. Our cottage was well situated, warm, comfortable beds, easy to use kitchen, 2 well-equipped bathrooms, quiet neighborhood. A small drawback was the lack of reading lamps in 2 of the 3 bedrooms, for those who like to read themselves to sleep. "My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our stay here. The cabin was cozy, inviting and had all the accommodations we needed. The setting: perfect! Right on the tidal river and seemingly in the middle of nowhere—but super close to anything we needed in Ellsworth. Centrally located for easy trips to MDI, Schoodic and Deer Isles/Stonington.Cannot recommend highly enough. "We loved staying here at this cozy waterfront property. It was spacious and with a functional kitchen which was a plus! The location, although a bit away from Acadia, offered an escape from the busy-ness of Bar Harbor. The surroundings are serene with a lake just upfront. Overall a good experience. Just be prepared to check out on the dot at 10.00AM to make way for the cleaners."
