"We have stayed at this property many times over the last nearly 3 decades. We realize that this property is undergoing a renovation which is timely. We did not see any evidence of the ongoing renovation while we were there so not sure if it has started. We did not stay in a renovated room if there were any available. Upon check in, Morgan greeted us in a very professional manner and checked us in to Room 239. We went to Room 239 opened the door and immediately the smell of cigarette smoke...

"My son's room had a leaky air conditioner that caused the carpet to be wet. They gave him a different room. I did hear the previous occupant mention it while checking out the morning before. They must have forgotten about it. "

"This hotel is in the middle of major renovation, and in summer 2024 the entire area around this interstate exit is under development, so there is a lot of that traffic and noise. The front walkway was getting all new concrete done. The room was totally cleaned and bedding as expected, though the bathtub needed some minor repairs. I think Southern Illinois is wonderful, I left this particular reservation early because I didn't feel safe with some of the activity I encountered nearby."

"It was good. Except the volumn on the tv when id turn it up, it would seem like someone next door had their own remote bc the volumn would turn back down. "

"The state was very good very friendly staff only complaint I would have is the toilet being so low down to the floor This need to be upgraded to something higher. I could imagine the elderly people having an issues sitting on the toilet. "
