"Joe & Miriam (sp?) were very friendly and engaging hosts. We went to the Caracol Mayan site and also did a boat/swimming/waterfall tour. Joe is very knowledgeable about Mayan ruins. He is most enthusiastic about showing you his native country. Miriam is a great cook. We thoroughly enjoyed our jungle experience."

"We absolutely LOVED our stay here! It was so calm and peaceful. The staff are wonderful and will go out of their way to help you with anything you need. It's definitely more at the 'rustic' end of the scale but we really enjoyed that aspect. "Service nonexistent. No maid service at all. Had to ask for clean towels. No night lighting; impossible to get to without flashlight. No internet, no telephone. Had to follow owner into nearest town in order to pay bill...in cash. Unprofessional and sorely lacking in all respects. Definitely not worth the money or the time. Stay away from this one. "
