"A lovely warm welcome from Cathy room basic and dated but there are plans to update the whole hotel to bring it into line with what people expect but I really hope they stay true to the legacy Cathy and her husband have taken 38 years to build. Nostalgic is the best word I can use took me back to my childhood and my Nans B& B days in Southend. "We loved this property as the bedrooms were a good size , Craig our host was fantastic. Always on the ball and available if needed for enquiries about the local area if he could help . Onsite pool which we did-not use but if we visited again we would . Breakfasts to die for . "

"Middle of March and still fairly cold .Main heating doesn’t stay long enough to heat up the apartment.I had to use the electric heating which run on a meter .I ended up paying £15 on the electricity meter for heating ,lights and cooker for 3 nights stay .The downside for me was paying to keep the electricity going .Just be aware when booking ,they have the old electricity meter where you have to pay extra to keep the electricity going for the duration in your stay "
