"Check in was friendly as usually but the room smelt like cigarettes even though it is non smoking. Just delt with it rather than changing rooms. Other times we have not had this issue here but this time was bad."

That is the reason for the high scores given, not because it was the most modern hotel ever stayed in, but because it met or exceeded every expectation within the price range we were looking for. "The hotel was lovely. Unfortunately As soon as I got there my sneaker caught in the lobby rug and I tripped and fell. The desk clerk was very attentive and offered to help several times. We were not contacted after that by hotel staff to see how I was doing. We had to reach out to the manager the following day.
