"There was a lot to like ... the location is good, the hotel was clean, the parking lot was kept clear of new snow. But it's hard to get past the age of the building. There is a definite musty odor, but it's not too strong and is expected with a building this old. The floors are also quite slanted. I felt like I was walking down hill going from one side of my room into the bathroom. The thing I disliked the most was not having anyone at the front desk. I was told that I would get an email on...

"Hotel is clean, quiet and beautifully preserved. We were there for the winter carnival and found the town friendly, walkable and ready for visitors. Our bed was comfortable with wonderful pillows. I had an issue with the shower control; without my specs I blasted myself and the floor with cold water from the handheld device. Ha Ha, probably heard me downstairs. I will return to "Hot Sara" and the lovely village of Saranac Lake."
