The Kirkmichael Hotel

3.0 star property
7.4 out of 10, Good, (48)
"The staff were very nice and open-hearted. They explained me many things, brought towels directly ro my room and even talked and played dart with me, while I waited for my dinner, which was a great local beef burger. The dart is free and so is the great breakfast, where the lovely owner made me croissants, toast, scrambled eggs and provided cereals, although I was a bit late for it (8.30 - 9.30). The room had an electric kettle for making tea, an own bathroom and a hair dryer, which was...

"Had a lovely 3 night stay at Heathpark. Meg and Chris were so warm, welcoming and attentive. Stayed in a single room which was a good size, cosy, and a very comfortable bed and fab shower. Great choices at breakfast with a daily special making it difficult to choose. Everything freshly cooked and well presented. Can't recommend this guest house highly enough. Meg and Chris do everything to make sure you (and your dog) have a pleasant stay. I look forward to returning in the future."

Bamff Ecotourism

3.0 star property
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (10)
"This is comfort camping, with great facilities in a communal area specific for those using yurts or huts, everything for cooking, reading, games etc. The toilet /shower room is located at the main house; toilet facilities are not next/ensuite to the accommodation. Good written information pack. You are generally off-grid with no phone signal; there is WiFi but not fast. The Estate gives you free reign to wander anywhere, understanding you are respectiveful of nature. There is an honesty shop to...

NW from B951 Kirriemuir - Braemar road near Kirkton of Glenisla. The road becomes more and more spectacular as it winds and climbs up the Glen. The peak to the left is probably Crock (2,049 ft.), but I am not sure as I am not quite certain of the location or direction. [Help needed, please].
