"We stayed at this Days Inn Walcott after an Iowa football game. The hotel is located 40 minutes east of Iowa City off of I80. I booked it for $50 on Expedia so we weren't expecting much. I was a little worried by the stark condition of the lobby but as I proceeded down the hallway, up the stairs and to our room I was actually impressed with how clean the place was. The bed was super soft, probably too soft for most people's liking, and there were plenty of pillows. There are no elevators but...

"They were kind and welcoming. 1st day late to breakfast and he made my kids waffles! Very attentive when needing any sort of help or toiletries. Older, outdated but clean and bug free. "

"For a very old property, this is a decent value for the price paid. The lobby and breakfast area are clean. The rooms are clean, but not modern. It was quiet and the bed was comfy so it met my needs. I could see that not all rooms, or areas of the property had been addresses by the current owners. Again, my room met my needs at a price that was fair for my usage."
