"This was a convenient functional stop for a Bilbao ferry the next morning. (Approx 2hrs) The guesthouse adjacent to the bar/cafe was warm and clean, well kept no-frills accommodation and served the purpose. There’s an ample parking area next to the bar & guesthouse when you turn off the main road, although it is not private. "Nice hotel. Big bedroom. Comfy bed. Breakfast ok. Location great for restaurants and beaches. On a rainy day take the train to Santander from Barreda. Quick and cheap and free parking at the station. "

"The staff were very friendly. The room was clean. The location was good and, although not next to it, the old town was very walkable from the hotel. The bed was comfortable and we had no issues."

"It is a very small family run hotel, only 5 rooms. Easy for Santillana del Mar. Off road parking. Great view from bedroom. Very nice owner. But the big advantage is a comfortabe bed and absolute quiet. I slept through to the alarm at 8, considering i am typing this at 4.00 am in my next hotel shows just how unusual it is to sleep that long!"

"The posada is a beautiful old building, perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean. Communication was a little difficult with the owners due to my limited Spanish and their limited English - but we managed! We had a lovely room and a very comfortable bed. It was 4km to drive to the nearest town for dinner. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choice of local and homemade food.
