"A brief but very pleasant stay! I slept over before a trail marathon the early the next morning in Grizedale Forest. The owners couldnā€™t have been more helpful. They offered to run me down to the start line, I needed my car, but that was very kind! They supplied me with coffee at 6:15am made my porridge and provided a a take away sausage sarnie which I ate when I finished the race and was like heaven at that point! "Apartment was really nice, roomy and comfortable, ideal for two couples. I wouldn't recommend it for families with kids due to proximity to a bar and noise in the evening. Only other niggle was that while the apartment was well kitted out in general, we had to go out and buy hand wash and toilet roll. Not ideal if arriving late and those are expected provisions in my mind. Overall though, I would recommend as handy central location and it was in good condition. View from the living room was...
