"Had a wonderful couple of nights in the Stargazing room. The car park is small, but a decent one is just round the corner (£9 for a day, so spent £18 on top of the cost of the hotel) The breakfasts were great, with a good selection of cooked food. The facilities were nice, the bath water runs very hot, and is very difficult to cool. I spent more time getting the water right than I did in the bath. On this topic, the toiletries provided weren’t the best, so used my own. The teas and coffees on offer in the room are standard fare, not quite what the price of the room would usually offer. Overall, I had a lovely time in this hotel and in Grasmere, I would absolutely stay here again. The staff were warm and friendly at all times and the hotel is very conveniently located if coming for a night or two. "

"Stayed for 2 nights with my wife. In a comfy room which had been refurbished. The room was compact but unless you were planning to spend a whole day in the room, it was perfect for sleeping and getting ready for the day. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who showed us to our room and explained the facilities and was really friendly along with the other staff throughout our stay. Nothing was too much bother and were always willing to help. The room was clean and the bed very comfy and had two fantastic nights sleep. Breakfast was good with quick service. Parking on site and ample. Only a 10 min walk if that to the town itself. Would defo recommend this B&B. "
