"The rooms were clean and as expected. The bathrooms and toilets were fine as well. The staff was pleasant. It was advertised that there was a restaurant and even on a chalkboard outside, there were daily specials written but we were told there was no food for purchase. This was a challenge given the remote location of the hostel and that restaurants closed very early. We did find a grocery store that closed at 7pm. "If you love the idea of staying in a traditional Japanese house, this place is for you. Very clean and quiet. Nice to have access to a kitchen. The host was very warm and friendly. Close to the port, market and delicious restaurants. We were very happy with our stay. "
