"Very helpful, friendly, and beautiful staff who pampered me while I was recuperating from a pulled knee ligament. Young Deborah and Pierre especially could come home with me to befriend my two offspring of the same age. The place itself is a gorgeous neo-classical structure of heavy sandstone blocks finished with contemporary fixings that together create a refined yet funky air of nouveau chic. Great value too."

"Fantastic hotel in beautiful La Rochelle . Stayed here twice , once going south then on return. Brilliant location with short walk into town. Staff amazing , very friendly and customer focused. "Have stayed here before so know the hotel is in a great position in the old port. Room was on the small side however and would have liked a bath but only a shower available. There was a kettle in the room but no cups (?) and no fridge"

"First time to La Rochelle - had to use a public car park but it's just a street away. Off season so a skeleton staff - friendly and good English- but tiny part-time bar and expensive breakfast we didn't try. Had a nice terrace over looking a garden that was a touch... post apocalyptic- but it was quiet and the room we had all we needed. Lovely spacious building and very nicely located."
