Lovely patio area overlooking the library. 5. Wonderful service from reception. Negatives- breakfast I was so surprised how poor the breakfast was and this is something that could be remedied easily. The coffee was too weak (almost transparent). First morning i ordered the eggs and almost cried when i saw the quantity of food on the plate....

"Our room was not available for unclear reasons upon arrival. Sketchy and passive aggressive management. A cash damage deposit was required at check in without prior notice. A paper receipt omitted the deposit amount. A 48 hour wait for confirmation of a change was responded to only after Expedia intervention. Caveat emptor!"

"This was our second stay at the Marion. It's like spending the night at the museum. You can read the history of the original owner if you spend a few minutes at the waterfront Chinese Heritage Museum. The hotel is very close to bars and restaurants on Carpenter St. that can be noisy on occasion. We have stayed in the Chapel wing both stays and we're not bothered by street noise. If noise bothers you you may want to choose a room towards the rear of the property. Seems like people either love or...

"There is no telephone in the room need qr code or watsapp to contact room service and reception. Very incovenient for the less tech savy guests. TV has no reception. Need to use the internet to watch.... "
