Learn more about Bruniquel

Check out Beaulieu-en-Rouergue Abbey and Museum of Sugar and Chocolate Arts—just a couple of the sights around Bruniquel.

Just 25km west of the much-visited Cordes-sur-Ciel is this spectacular village, topped by two competing chateaux perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Aveyron River. One chateau is from the 12th century but the other was built next door in the 15th century by a feuding cousin. This is the kitchen of the 'new' chateau.
