"The hotel entrance is on the side of the building so that was a little confusing. The clerk was very friendly and spoke English fluently. The place is really nice. I don't understand why it is considered a "1.". We would stay again!"

"Madreselva was so lovely I wanted to move in!! It’s rustic but comfortable. The rooms are set around a central patio with tables chairs and sofas, and filled with tropical plants which give a cool ambience at any time of day. The staff are all lovely (special thanks to Alba who quickly responded to queries before and during our stay). Even the other guests were pleasant and friendly. "My initial impression was dubious but on entering the building I was amazed at the beautiful and unique layout of the property. Although my bedroom (#4) was rather small, I was impressed by the high quality of the decorations. The shower facility was of a high standard. The rooftop terrace has been refurbished into a “chill out” area giving wonderful 360 degree views of the surroundings including a view of the distant castle. This area is conducive to getting to know your fellow guests late...
