"When we walked into reception there was a bad smell, a bit like sewer smell and this rang alarm bells. Fortunately it was only in the reception area, possibly a drain issue somewhere. We were upgraded to a room at the front of the hotel with a balcony. That was a nice touch as the hotel is nearly directly opposite the Parliament building across the river. Beautiful when lit up. The room was large with all the expected amenities. The bed was a bit uncomfortable being quite hard and the pillows not very comfortable. The hotel was very hot all the time, the staff apologising saying there was an issue with the aircon system. I couldn't shower on the last day as there was no hot water. Breakfast was the usual European hotel fare. Everything was refreshed and table cleaned promptly. Despite the few niggles with the hotel it didn't spoil our experience and I would still highly recommend it. It is in a great location right outside a tram stop. It is only a 15 minute walk to the main shopping area which is reached by a beautiful walk along the Danube and across the magnificent Chain Bridge. "
