We took our kids to a weekend camp and needed a place to stay while we were in NC! This was a cute, quiet little place that allowed the adults to enjoy some downtime!
This cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway for much needed relaxation. The kitchen had everything needed to make meals and I especially loved the metal roof during a heavy rainstorm. We will definitely be booking this cabin again!
We really enjoyed our stay here. Very cute! Looks just how it’s described. Fully equipped with everything you need. We loved the hot tub and fire pit. Would definitely stay again.
Stayed at the Tree House for a weekend and I must say it was just what we needed. It is decorated in a way you feel like you are staying at a friends place- very homey and comfortable. Bed was extremely comfy and just loved the mix of new and original.
Hope to stay again!!
Loved staying here. Needed to wind down after the holidays. It was quiet, comfortable and clean. Had everything we needed to cook a few times. We also enjoyed a couple of restaurants in Flat Rock and a short hike at DuPont State Forest. Great place for couples needing a getaway.
Perfect little getaway while having some work done at our house. Well-appointed and very comfy! Close to lots of great spots to explore. It's only about 30 miles from our home so we will definitely be back!
Perfectly comfortable stay at the Tree House Cottage - comfortable beds, hot shower, well appointed kitchen, nice hot tub and fire pit area and comfy living room
seating created a very pleasurable vacation, not to mention the charm this home has to offer.
Can’t say enough about how great this house was!! Location was great for Hendersonville, Saluda, and green river. How’s was very clean, and very cozy. All needs were taking care of! Will be back again soon!
Property was great, alot of privacy with all of the trees around. House was very clean, and comfortable. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. Parking is a little tight, but more than enough for two cars.
We intend on returning for a future trip
My friends and I came from Indiana for a girls weekend trip and we loved our stay! The cabin was clean, cute, and super comfy! We loved the lay out! It rained a bit and you could hear it on the roof which made it so comfy! The hot tub was great and it was just an overall great stay! Highly recommend!
Loved this home, very well decorated with charming accents. Had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We didn’t cook, but kitchen was well stocked had we chosen to cook. The bed was very comfy and great bathrooms. The setting was very private and peaceful. Keep in mind it is on hillside and there are several steps. We would definitely recommend and stay here again when we visit family that lives in log cabin nearby!
This cabin was absolutely precious ! It was perfectly decorated and most comfortable ! We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay! The book with pertinent information was extremely helpful and I have never seen that done in any of our prior rentals ! Thanks for the memories!
My family started a February weekend getaway 5 years ago. This cottage was a perfect place to stay. It is comfortable for cooking and hanging out in the evenings. We cooked all three nights and the kitchen was well stocked with the necessary utensils. Fireplace and hot tub were both great. The cottage is an easy day drive to surrounding areas, 12 Bones and Sierra Nevada were both excellent to visit.
We had a great time staying here. Clean, attractively decorated, everything worked and it was well stocked for kitchen stuff. There were two things my brother wasn't fond of, he would have liked a better fry pan and a bigger parking spot. Of course he drives a Suburban so needs a large spot. The TV and internet worked great, the hot tub was clean and hot, the firepit was perfect. All in all, we really enjoyed the stay.
The treehouse is a beautiful place to stay. Kirk is very available is needed - although I did not need anything but to ask him if I could stay a bit longer ! The energy of the house was very loving and I could tell much love went into all the special touches. House is very close to Hendersonville and the cute area of Flat Rock. Enjoyed hot tub and fire pit - very private. I highly recommend the Treehouse for a special mountain getaway. Thank you Kirk. !
Small, nicely decorated and very cozy for 4 people cabin. The communication with Kirk happens with the speed of light. If anything breaks it will be replaced or fixed in hours.
The very best hikes are within an hour reach. Fire pit and a spa on the property are a big plus. Very comfortable beds.
Great overall experience. Thank you, Kirk
We were just thrilled with this adorable, unique, dog-friendly rental close to Saluda, Flat Rock, and Hendersonville. The house is so cute and cozy. We spent a wonderful 3 days there grilling and hot tubbing on the deck, playing board games, and exploring local breweries and wineries. As a previous reviewer indicated, parking is to on either side of a steep gravel driveway, but that was fine -- it just required some maneuvering. Communication with the owner was very easy and Kirk is super responsive. We couldn't be more pleased with our stay!
Drive to Dupont State Park, Ashville, and Hendersonville were all at a good distance. Loved that we had a fire even in August since it was cool enough to do so, as well as a hot tub. Loved the screened in porch and kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful trip. Our only 4 star was walking are dog to do her thing. Not alot of grassy spots, so that was a bit of an issue for my dog, and realize not everyone has one, but overall a 5 start.
Great place to relax and enjoy down time. This very old but charming rustic cabin has every little detail covered. Beds are little too big for the rooms they are in. Barely enough room to turn sideways to enter/exit bed. Other than that it is perfect. You definitely feel like your in a tree house.
What we loved: Mostly clean (top of fridge, some insides of lampshades were dirty), pet friendly, hot tub (super clean) and the location suited us. Door locking/unlocking worked beautifully.
What could have been better: Parking is small if you are driving a full-size truck. Sheets and towels could be of a higher quality as well for the T.P. and Paper Towels and pillows.
What we didn't like: The 4 window A/C units, they were loud and really didn't blow much cool air. We had to bring the fan in from the porch to try and circulate the air. It was in the 90's outside when we stayed here.

The cabin is cute but the beds are old and sagging. Very uncomfortable. There was a fire pit but no wood provided. Smelled moldy. Decoration was cute. We had to replace the batteries in the remotes to make them work. Two lights out in one bathroom. Overall - kind of disappointing.
We have always wondered what a stay in Treehouse cottage would be like. Many many years ago, we stayed in the cottage a little down the hill from treehouse. That was our first trip to the Hendersonville area. We love this area and have returned often. This time we decided to relive the past and finally stay at Treehouse. We had a great time in the area again and a relaxing time in the cottage. The cottage may be very "vintage" but is very clean and well maintained. The host was very responsive and helpful. The only thing I would change would be the parking. Each cottage on that road has its own spot it's just a little difficult to maneuver because it's a little narrow. With the lay of the land there are no other options. Just take it slow and you'll be fine.
