"Salty House is a very comfortable place, very clean and the owner Despina extremely friendly. We were a bit disappointed that there is another house blocking our patio for sunset meals, and the beach is not so easily accessible as hoped-for. Also, the kitchen equipment is not elaborate. But the overall experience was totally acceptable."

"We stayed for two nights at ELaiolithos and it was a highlight of our time in Greece. From the photos on this site, you can see that the location is stunning in the mountains of Naxos but what you can’t see is the incredible hospitality provided by Helen and her team to make you feel welcomed and like you are experiencing a bit of real life in Naxos through the food and suggestions she offers you. We also appreciated the queer-friendly hotel and staff. Our suite was comfortable, well-appointed and luxurious. We chose ELaiolithos because we wanted to stay at a hotel which was situated well for hiking and exploring the villages of Naxos. Helen, the owner, provided great suggestions on where to hike and what to see during our days there. I recommend the hike through olive and citrus groves and many villages in the area. Another highlight was the food! The restaurant has plenty of options for vegans, vegetarians, and gluten-free diets and these dishes were never lacking in anything or didn’t feel like they were a substitution — they were fully thought out, purposefully vegan meals which were some of the best we had in Greece. The locally-focused menu was really special and let us try the flavourful herbs, cheeses, yogurt, and vegetables from around the island. I’d highly recommend ELaiolithos for a relaxing getaway with great access to hiking, interesting villages, great food, and incredible hospitality. Thank you, Helen!"

"We visited September 2024 with a large group of 9 adults. The property was exactly as pictured and so spacious we didnt even spend time in all the lounge areas. We loved sitting outside playing games and sharing a meal. The port area was an easy 15 min drive. Communication with the host was great as well. We would come back in an instant and stay here! "

"What prompted me to look at renting this house was that amazing view. It was just as amazing in person. The house was clean and beds comfortable. The only issue was that we got an email that said we could check in at 1400. The housekeeper was there and stated that we could not check in till 1600. She let us put up our groceries and we hung out at the pool. We had an amazing time. "

"Great house. Nice shaded area to eat outside. And plenty of other terraces with views over the countryside and village opposite. Inside also good, everything we needed. It was well laid-out: nice views from every room and we could have a decent breeze in the heat. Location is at the back of Glinado, an easy walk away from the bakery, and small collection of village shops. The village is short drive to nice beaches, and far enough away from the busy Naxos town."

"A beautiful, modern, well-appointed house with the most incredible outdoor space and views over the sea. We didn’t want to leave in the evenings because we wanted to savour every sunset. Gareth was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The one feature that took getting used to was the drive to the house, which requires a very steep descent followed by a very steep ascent, on a narrow road with two way traffic. It was hair raising, although we quickly got used to it. Were from Canada and can drive manual, but for other North Americans who are t used to stick driving, these hills could be punishing teachers"

"Maria was beyond amazing. She helped us with a dire medical emergency. The lovely apartment is very private, crystal clear pool, comfy furnishing. Highly recommend this for a very remote but beautiful stay on Naxos"
