The apartment is very cute, it's small but has everything you need and the interior is simple but pretty. It's like in the photos. The host is very kind and helpful too, Iris was always there to give us a recommendation when we asked for it. Thanks to her, we were able to avoid the messy & expensive parking situation in Zandvoort by booking a parking lot a little outside of town in advance through a website she sent us. It's a little annoying to have the car parked so 'far' away from the accomodation (a 10-15 minutes walk) but that's not the host's fault, it's the city's. The location of the apartment is great, it faces a supermarket, is a max. 5 minute walk from the beach & beach bars/restaurants and the train station, where you can take a train to Amsterdam every 30-60 minutes (the ride takes 30 minutes and the trains are always on time).
If I could make a wish, I think I'd add a door in between the bedroom and kitchen because that would make the bedroom, which, unlike the kitchen, doesn't face the street, even quieter. But it wasn't really noisy anyway so that's not a real problem. :)
What I'd recommend to the next guests:
a) Book a parking lot in advance to pay 35€ for 3 days instead of 3€ (?) per hour × 3 days.
b) Be aware that depending on the apartment in the house that you end up in, the stairs are very steep, just in case you're traveling with elderly or a wheelchair or something. In that case, I'm sure you can make an arrangement with Iris to solve that problem. :)
