"It is a perfect stay if you are budget minded. There is a lawson and matsuya next to the hostel as well as the hostel being a cafe itself. If you want to go to shimokitazawa or shinjuku you can take yoyogi hachiman which is close by. The beds are comfortable, have two power outlets, and storage for 2 medium sized luggage. The staff clean and mop the floor everyday around 12pm"

"This was one of my favorite hostel experiences ever. Makoto, Ana, and Karen are the nicest staff ever, we extended out stay multiple days because we met other amazing people staying at this hostel and became very familiar with Kamakura. Kamakura should be a multi-day trip and you should definitely stay at Iza Kamakura House if you want a really comfortable and laid back place to stay. "

"I've stayed at 6 or 7 hostels between last year and this year. By far this Motomachi Yokohama Hostel is the cleanest. Facility is very new. Nothing is worn out or not repaired. The location is also amazing. It's on a high end shopping street with boutique fashion, jewery, pastery, grocery shops. Prices are not excessive. Yes, higher than Osaka but in returni get back higher level of comfort and convenience. "

"I didn't realize this was a hostel. Pretty bummed when I showed up at the property and realized that. Not a fan of the checkin process- very cold, impersonal, and time consuming. "Chillulu was okay. Not spectacular, however a good enough short term stay (2 nights for me). The location in Yokohama Chinatown is hard to beat! I even tried the Cafe downstairs and it was excellent tho on the pricier side. The property itself is old, but maintained, however I need to mention how cramped I felt and the curtains and thin walls offer little from the other travelers. Good location, but I’ll stop there. "

"Low cost. Very quiet area. One should be mindful and not make too much noise. Perfect to get a good night rest. I did not need to get the host attention. If needed there is a tablet where you can communicate with host. Not sure the host's English language capability. The rooms were larger than central Tokyo area hotels. The check out time is 10:00AM which is a bit earlier than most hotels but the quietness and price superseeds the early check out time. About 10 minute walk to Kamata JR train...
