"I booked this property because of all the excellent reviews. I was not disappointed. A small run family guest house. It only has 5 rooms. I stayed 3 nights and was the only guest. A little way out, but very walkable. So peaceful. No barking dogs at night. My breakfast was a huge spread and could have feed 4 people. Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again. "The hotel has very historical feeling decoration. The room is clean and with nice castle view. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is nice. The only downside is that at night, our room on the 3rd floor was a bit cold. It would be no problem for warmer days. "

"My family and I booked three rooms at Furra and had a wonderful stay! The rooms were recently renovated and are very clean. The restaurant downstairs had excellent food and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Furra if you're visiting Gjirokaster! The street can get loud at night but if you're there to vacation and enjoy festivities, you'll be in the crowd anyway. "

"A very special hotel within the distillery building in the small mountain town of Leskovik, with stylish, comfortable rooms and excellent food including delicious breakfasts. Sadly the night we stayed there, there was a private party in the restaurant, with very loud music until after 11pm and unsupervised children running wild around the building. "Arrived at hotel and was double charged for booking (by Expedia and front office staff) at checkin. Staff/Manager apologetic and refund the difference in cash.Was initially given a car park view room with balcony over a smoking area and cigarette smell coming up from below. 'The low-level ride allowed for a better look around – and marvel we did! High steep whitish rocks framing the azure dream, with birds flying freely amongst the vegetation ushering its way into the picture. For a moment, I thought of Rio Azul in Mexico and my mind could only list South/Central American waterways to hold as much lushness as Osumi. A true wonder! ...completed by the glorious waterfalls under which I felt simply happy. A highly-ranked candidate as the River God, huh?'

"My wife and I had a lovely time at the Villa. The property is beautiful - it faces the sea directly. Our room came with a spacious balcony and in suite bath and jacuzzi as well. The staff at the property took great care of us and accommodated my dietary preferences as well. They recommended some great restaurants to visit as well as connected us to a very reasonable tours and travels company for tours to Ksamil and Blue Eye. Cannot recommend this villa enough if you are looking for a tranquil romantic getaway within Sarande. Will visit again!"

Home away from home

"This is a wonderful family hotel just a few minutes’ walk from the promenade and city center. Despite its central location, it remains peaceful and secluded—a perfect retreat. The service is exceptional; we were warmly welcomed and genuinely felt like part of their family. Visiting during the low season was a bonus, as they kindly upgraded us to a suite. The suite, located on the fourth floor, offers breathtaking views of both the sea and the mountains. If you book a double room with the same view, you’ll also enjoy stunning sunsets. While the suite was comfortable, we do wish the linens were newer and of better quality. The two brothers mainly manage the reception, and their hospitality is matched by their mother’s delicious, home-cooked breakfasts (buffet style in summer season). Each morning, we felt energized and ready to explore after enjoying her hearty meals. On our last day, their “baba” father—even offered us a complimentary ride to the bus station for our journey back to Tirana. Do not think twice to book this family run hotel."

"Suites were amazing with a great view of the pool and sea. Very clean and modern rooms. I loved the tub in my room & the rainfall shower was pretty large. I did not like that my suite had a shared balcony; so the staff found me another room with 2 private balconies. The staff is great and super responsive. They will provide excellent customer service to ensure your visit is pleasant. Highly recommend! Be sure to check out the 2 pools, bar, and private beach. 10/10"
