The man we assumed was the owner speaks english, is solicitous to a fault and serves a great breakfast including some of the tuna Nachikatsuura is known for. 800 yen taxi ride from JR Kiikatsuura station if you have bags or ten minute walk if you travel light. So you are in town to see the falls and temples? Spend a couple of nights here and give your money to a small local concern. "The hotel is reasonably priced and the room has a very good view. The facility is showing some age, but clean and well ordered nonetheless. Driving would be more convenient than taking the public transport to reach the hotel."
