"Property was conveniently located near both train stations, plus bus stations, in this beautiful town. Rooms were spacious and functional with classic (dated) decor. Worked well for our one night stay. Breakfast buffet was included (a first during our travels). The main area of town, plus most sites, were within walking distance (slightly up-hill) or a bus ride away, if preferred. "

"We love the surrounding area of the hotel. Peaceful and so close to the famous Shinkyo Bridge and Toshugo Shrine. The walking track to the Kanmangafuchi Abyss was excellent. If you love nature, this is the place to go. We were lucky to experience the Spring Festival and enjoyed the warmth and hospitality of the small-town people. The hotel itself has lots of history. The room is really spacious and modern with a view to the mountains and bushes. The staff were very accommodating despite their minimal English. My Japanese Breakfast was excellent. Definitely we will stay here again when we come to Nikko. "

Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture.
