"Great guest house, about 12 minutes walk from Yuli train station. Owner is often not there so number to call. Then easy and very clean and comfortable accommodation. Little English so used phone to translate. Very convenient."

"Loved this hotel; just the right size; wonderful staff; comfortable, sizable room on third floor with porch and view; terrific dinner (salmon was super tasty). If you are an English-speaker, sure to follow signs to Antong Springs and New Life Resort. Go to nearby Yashun Park and walk the trails. Beautiful area."

"Way overpriced for what you get. Paid 3361 NTD. Very run down and dated. Room was stuffy and smelled mouldy. Rubbish and stuff piled everywhere. Staff tried to charge me again. Owner is friendly and chatty. Breakfast was a delicious Taiwanese delight. Hot Springs were very ugly. Do not serve dinner any more. Very far from anything. An Tong Hot Springs around the corner is new, bright and clean. Excellent restaurant upstairs."

"L’emplacement n’est pas exactement où Google maps indique. C’est quelques maison plus loin. Il y a aussi un endroit sécuritaire pour placer les vélos si vous êtes cyclistes."

"Small room but with the amenities of a much more expensive hotel. Incredibly good price. Apparently, every room has a balcony and mine had gorgeous views of the mountains. After all, this town is at the foot of Yu Shan mountain—also, the collision of two tectonic plates over by the river. Cutest town on the east coast? Low-key, uncrowded (unlike many villages here), incredibly easy scooter or bike rental at the train station. The hotel also has bicycles for guests…I’ve heard the Yuli hot springs...

"We booked the first floor room with a shared bathroom, and it would've been appreciated if host told us whether other guests were expected. We didn't know, and I believe nobody else ended up coming, but we end up feeling not relaxed about it. The first floor rooms require guests to either walk outside or through the private desk and living room area. Feels like you're renting a room in someone's house. The host guy seemed nice, not too talkative, and bought us soy milk and a sandwich from a...
