"A very friendly and helpful host who set us up andade us feel very welcome. The house itself is well set up and is a great space for a family. It's a town house and faces a fairly busy road, but it's close to the seafront and we weren't aware of passing traffic once inside. It was a very rainy week so we didn't use the courtyard much but it look like a pleasant space for outdoor eating. Altogether a great town house over several floors."

"Location is good, a very peaceful rural area, but close to the main roads. Property was ok, but somewhat shabby. Level of cleanliness was not very high. WiFi was broken and could not be fixed. We were charged an extra €60 for bedding, which was not mentioned in the listing. Towels were not provided so it's a good thing we brought our own."

The owners were out when we arrived late evening to the gîte; they had pre-warned me already to say they would be out. They responded promptly to opening the electric gates to let us in. "Lovely cottage with everything you need for a self catering holiday and really cosy. Yport still retains its village atmosphere, it has a few nice shops for your supplies and a pebble beach to enjoy. The only disappointment was the small garden which had been neglected and was overgrown, we weeded and tidied it up for our use. We would all return without hesitation."
