This property is exceptional in every way and exceeded our expectations. The quiet, serenity and beauty of the property created a perfect place for relaxation, reading, star gazing and hiking. The proximity to Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu allowed us to visit these sites and then retreat to this beautiful home and property.
This is our second stay in the area and this one was special. It's remote, isolated, and quiet. The setting is unique, the house is well maintained, and it's full of special little touches. Who knew I liked lemon cookies? The daily hikes on the property are great. The views and the quiet are magic. And we caught the spring blooms as a bonus.
I almost want to leave a terrible review to keep this gem to myself😁
We arrived late at night we were welcomed with a warm and cozy home in the cold February weather. We couldn’t believe to the views we saw in the morning when the sun was streaming in our bedroom!
We made gourmet meals every night and cozied up to the fire watching the winter storm blow through. Star gazing was amazing✨
Everything in the house was well organized with all the essentials to make the stay convenient.
The place is far from a grocery store so plan on doing that before you arrive however Courtney and Shaun provided with essentials (coffee☕️) for the morning and a very pleasant stay.
❤️🌵
We were lucky enough to view the Annular Eclipse at Casita de Arrebol! The weather was perfect!
This is a spectacular property. The Casita has everything you need and is very comfortable. The interior design is spot on and the views are amazing. Both bathrooms are stocked full of wonderful bath products and the kitchen has everything you need, plus some. Outside there are no words, except AMAZING. If you need quiet time, this is the place.
Shaun and Courtney have been a pleasure to work with. Their responses to messages are very prompt and the Casita's app is a great plus. Up on arrival you are greeted with a very nice welcome bag and a super clean and organized Casita. Thank you Shaun and Courtney for making our stay so comfortable and relaxing.
The house and the land are amazing. The amenities are abundant and lovely. The owners were easy to communicate with when we had questions.
If you are looking for a get away in the rural high desert, I don't know if you could do better. It is remote in just the way we were looking for but provided all the comforts of a well stocked home. So much to see in the area and beautiful walks available if you just want to stay home.
We would (and very likely will) return.
My husband, small dog and I had such a wonderful time at Casita de Arrebol. The house is absolutely perfect and has everything you need and more (so many lovely above-and-beyond touches). The setting was just what we wanted - beautiful landscape, total privacy. It's the best vacation rental we've ever stayed at (and we've stayed at a few).
We hope to return in the near future.
This is an amazing property. We use VRBO a lot and this takes things to a whole new level of excellence. Where to begin? Spectacular views on all sides. Home in immaculate condition. So many personal touches. Soaps and lotions. Frozen cookie dough n the freezer[yum yum}. A welcoming bottle of wine. Everything is high end..the kitchen is to die for...beautiful fireplace[we lit one every night}. This is by far the most beutiful and relaxing home we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot. Thanks to Shaun and Courtney for making this such a special weekend...Malcol and Kathleen
My review would quickly become too long if I tried to say how nice this house is and how spectacularly beautiful this property is so I will limit my summary to the property: there is a reason Georgia O’Keefe settled where she did, and painted El Cerro Pedernal multiple times — and that the colors ware different every time. If you want to see what she saw, this is the place.
My family spent a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday at Courtney and Shaun's house outside of Youngsville. The house was immaculate and lots of little, thoughtful touches were included that made us feel right at home, including a welcome basket of goodies. We spent our time exploring the property and surrounding areas in northern New Mexico and thoroughly enjoyed such a tranquil escape. The owners communicated all we needed to know and reached out during our stay to insure all was well. We highly recommend staying here! Thank you Courtney and Shaun for everything!
We drove from Dallas with our 2 year old and the long trip was well worth it. The 360 degree views are stunning. The house was clean and functional and surprisingly toddler proof :). The owners of the property were very responsive with our questions and were very welcoming. The proximity to the bottom of the Abiquiu Dam where you can chill by the Chama river, Ghost Ranch, and exploring North New Mexico is perfect. Walks on the property were relaxing as well. We woke up to a rainbow right in the back yard to send us off on our last morning. We really can't recommend this place enough. We will be back!
Me and my wife stayed here for a few days for our anniversary and it was INCREDIBLE! Gorgeous house, very clean, well decorated and an amazing property. It's very quiet and peaceful, a great escape from the buzz of the city. Don't forget to plan on some star gazing! 10/10, highly recommended.
