We don’t mind a couple of people visiting for a few hours before 9pm, but we do not host gatherings or parties.
Guest access
Entire outdoor areas including pool, patio, ping pong, basketball goal/court and interior apartment with deck. Take a walk down the quiet road to the dry creek!
Other things to note
Pecan trees give the apartment deck privacy from the main house April-December.
BBQ is a gas grill down by the pool.
There are 2 sun loungers, patio furniture, ping pong table, basketball court, pool basketball, and pool toys in the storage. Feel free to use the whole patio and entire grounds.
Pool & Ping Pong closes at 9pm Sun-Thur;11pm Fri-Sat Yet, if we are up closing times/queit times are extended. Especially, when school is out. We generally stay up pretty late weekends/summers. Although, we work hard not to disturb our early bird guests. :)
Please help us out by hanging wet clothes in the shower or on the deck hooks. Whole floor is new, laminate and easy to water damage .
We do have hard water in the apartment and the toliet bowl is pretty stained although clean.
The deck is safe but is nearing end of life and looks like it lived on the beach its entire existence.
There are blackout curtains in the bedroom for naps before and sleeping late after your Yorktown hospital tour.
This is a country stay please don't be surprised if you see bugs, spiders, mice, or a snake on premises. Snakes are rare but it happens.
Deer are all around, especially in the evening/early morning.
There are chickens outside including a rooster. He is quieter than ones we have had in the past, but still likes to get his crow on early mornings and during the day from time to time. We also have two friendly dogs and two cats roaming about.
A recent guest suggested we let people know to bring their groceries out with them. A trip to Lowe’s Grocery, Dollar General, or Family Dollar in Yorktown is about 13 minutes. Extra maps with back ways are sent 48 hours before checking in with the entry instructions.
I don't have a cleaning fee, so please help me out with washing your dishes and keeping trash in the trash cans. :) No need to make the beds, I have to wash it all anyway.
Front gate is a 20 foot black steel gate, manual open. With a large S in the middle. Easiest to open by pushing from the second and fourth bar instead of the end. It is heavy and on a wheel.
Thank you for considering our place! We hope to meet you soon. Please shoot me an inquiry if you have any questions.
Goliad is a 15-18 minute drive taking the back way down FM 1726. Yorktown is about 12 minutes taking the backroads on Yorktown Slickfield Rd off FM 119.
