The front of the property overlooks the city walls and is perfectly placed in a central location only 4 minutes walk from York Minster and the historic city centre. The apartment is just around the corner from 14th century Monk Bar, the tallest and most elaborate of the 4 Bars of the city walls. The Grade 2 listed building was formerly the nurses quarters to the old city hospital and the first floor apartment is newly furnished and new to the holiday rental market. The apartment is to the rear of the property and shares a communal entrance hall and gardens. The bedroom has a king-sized bed fitted with crisp cotton sheets and the good sized wardrobe and bedside drawers should provide ample space. The lounge contains a comfortable sofa and large screen TV plus an attractive electric stove providing heat &/or a nice cosy glow to the room. There is also a small extending dining table and 2 chairs for the traveller who prefers a quiet, cosy meal away from the crowds after a busy days sightseeing. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven and hob plus microwave, washer/dryer and fridge. The bathroom has a newly fitted over-the-bath shower and glass screen. Although a car wouldn't be needed due to the central location there is an allocated parking space suitable for a regular sized car. There are countless bars and restaurants in the popular Goodramgate area only 2 minutes walk away and Sainsburys supermarket is conveniently located to the rear of the property.

Very good location for visiting York. Only 5 min walk from the centre. Next to a Sainsbury, so daily shopping is also easy. The appartment is spacious and comfortable. Good parking place for the car too.
Spent 4 nights in York. Wanted to be near the Minster but not stay in a hotel as we don’t enjoy eating out all the time. Also, as we’d been in Europe for 3 weeks we wanted the availability of laundry facilities.
The apartment is a spacious, comfortable one bedroom.
The location is perfect for exploring York.

Bev was a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble, the flat was very cosy and warm with everything you could need. It was minutes walk into the town, and York Minster we really enjoyed our stay, thank you Bev.
The apartment was very well equipped and comfortable. A lovely quiet location and only 500 yards from city centre. Will definitely recommend it to friends and family and hope to visit again.
Excellent accommodation just outside city walls of York
We had a very enjoyable few days in this delightful apartment in York. It was roomy, clean, cosy, comfortable and very quiet. Location was excellent being just outside the city walls and only 5 minutes walk to the Minster and 15 minutes walk to the railway station. Added bonus was having a Sainsburys a short distance behind the residence but far enough away for us not to be aware of it.
The apartment was clean and comfortable, a great location for the centre/sites of York and lots to see and do.
Allocated parking space, we did not need to use car during our stay as within short walking distance to centre, York minster and sights of York.
We loved our stay and would definitely return.

Well equipped 1st floor flat in converted historic house. Short walk to city centre. Parking onsite which is a real bonus in York. Supermarket 2 mins walk. Comfortable bed and very comfortable sofa. Ideal for a short stay.
Great location to explore York; so close to the wall, shopping, and food.
Great location for walking, but driving a car onto the one-way street was a little challenging. Some additional instructions when approaching from the north would be appreciated. (Google maps was not quite enough.)
The floor plan was great for our purposes. We loved the supermarket so close by. It would have nice been to have a mirror close to an outlet, so we could use a hairdryer.

The flat was spectacularly clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay in York. The location was perfect as it was only a few minute walk to York Minster, Sainsbury was directly behind the building, and the walk to the train station was only 20 minutes. Bev was very accommodating and arranged to have the flat ready for our early arrival. We will definitely stay here again.
We had an easy time getting to the flat. Bev was very kind and helpful. The flat was just right for two. The location with parking was unbeatable. We parked our car and didn’t need it for the whole stay. Very close to Monk’s Bar and groceries. We had a great time. Thanks Bev.

The Perfect Place to Stay in York
Bev’s place was very comfortable and in the PERFECT location, literally steps from one of the town’s main gates and within a 5- to 10-minute leisurely walk from all of the main sites and great restaurants but still very quiet and just off the main tourist area. That location of the flat couldn't be better, a short walk into the heart of the city. The added bonus of the parking space is great and a rarity in York!
The flat is cosy, clean and has everything that you need. The only thing worth noting is that the flat above clearly has wooden flooring.
Bev was a great host and answered all of my queries very quickly.

The property was a 1 bedroom apartment, galley kitchen and bathroom with bath & shower. There is also parking within the grounds. This was very well presented and very clean and comfortable. The process of obtaining the keys was smooth and the dialogue with the manager Bev was excellent and answered any questions quickly. The city centre was only minutes away by foot and there was a Sainsburys close by. Overall this apartment was excellent for us being so close to the Centre of York
The flat is located less than 10 minute's walk from York Minster. It's the perfect location to step out and begin exploring the city. There's a Sainsburys local just behind the flat which is very convenient for self catering supplies. The flat itself is a great base with a decent-sized living room, bedroom kitchen and bathroom (with plenty of hot water for a bath if you've spent an especially long day walking!) The kitchen was beautifully clean and well laid out and the bed was comfy and spacious. Bev supplied easy to follow instructions for check-in and check-out. The car park space was great as I didn't need the car at all for the whole stay. The wifi was consistent (better than at home!). I would book this place again to continue exploring the city!

Clean comfortable apartment in great location!
My partner and I enjoyed a 3 night stay in York and decided to book Bev's apartment due to its convenient location just 5-10 minutes walk to York Minster, the Shambles and all the lovely shops in that old part of the city. The apartment is newly refurbished and has everything you need for a comfortable stay, including lovely bed, bedding and towels. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook though there are a huge selection of restaurants, bars and pubs to eat in, all within easy reach. We walked to the Barbican Theatre to see Jools Holland which was a wonderful gig. The apartment was quiet despite its close proximity to the hub of the city. I have already recommended Bev's apartment to my friends and family and we would definately stay there again. Bev met us on arrival and was very helpful and friendly.
Great location for a visit to York. Property was close to things we wanted to see but was still a quiet place to return to. Also very close to a local Sainsburys which was convenient.
However there were a few things that were not great: 1. it was my understanding that coffee maker would be a keurig/tassimo or some comparable unit but instead was a bodum which was not ideal. 2. The internet service was not great at all which affected both tv service and browsing 3. There was an issue with the drains which meant we could not use washer or use kitchen sink very much 4. The lighting in the unit is quite poor which could be easily improved with some updated light fixtures and lamps
The drain issue was obviously unforeseen but I think addressing the other concerns would be an improvement to the property
